New England Automotive Recyclers Association was born out of a shared vision from representatives of the New England state automotive recyclers associations. The mission is to bring resources to local trade meetings and events that would otherwise only be accessible at national shows.

Automotive Recyclers Association
Since 1943, the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) is an international trade association which has represented an industry dedicated to the efficient removal and reuse of automotive parts, and the safe disposal of inoperable motor vehicles.
The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association was founded October 24, 1941 by R. A. Van Alen and Harry Lester in Los Angeles. At the first association convention in 1947 Harry Lester was still president, and attendance was roughly 50 people. Over the past 50+ years membership has grown to about 1,000 member companies worldwide. Convention attendance exceeds 2,000 people with over 150 exhibit booths.
