LEADERSHIP

Founder: Theodore W. Eckstein

In 1972, Ted founded Rebuilders Automotive Supply then in Cranston, RI, which he owned and operated before retiring in 1996. He was a graduate of Moses Brown High School, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1952 from Brown University, where he played right tackle on the football team in an undefeated season. Ted was a true entrepreneur and auto enthusiast until his passing on October 11, 2003.

 

President: Robert J. Grady

Robert (Bob) is the President and co-owner of Rebuilders Automotive Supply.  He started out with RAS in the early days dismantling starters and alternators for the metals. As the company grew RAS started selling the parts to be rebuilt, and Bob was then buying parts in the salvage yards. After graduating Providence College he came back to the business in a sales and office management capacity. He is very proud of what RAS has become, and is thankful to all the employees who have contributed their time and effort along the way. His hobbies are boating, golf, and assorted sports.

 

Vice President: Steven M. King

Steven is the Vice President and co-owner of Rebuilders Automotive Supply. He started out in the auto body and sales business. In 1983, he joined RAS and learned the business from the ground up under the guidance of Ted Eckstein, the company’s founder.  Steve’s passion at RAS is staying hands on within the operations of the business.

 

Director: Jack Bowser

Mr. Bowser is the Chief Executive Officer of Rebuilders Automotive Supply located in Coventry Rhode Island. RAS has been an industry leader and a full line core supplier for the automotive remanufacturing industry for forty years. He joined RAS in 2003 as their Chief Operating Officer.

 

Prior to RAS, Bowser accumulated an extensive background serving as CFO for both public and private concerns and brings with him a broad depth of knowledge of complex financial and operational situations. He earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA in finance from Providence College.

 

Bowser is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and Supply Chain Management Professionals plus the University of Rhode Island and Providence College alumni associations.

 

Vice President of Finance & Accounting: Jesse Whiteside

Jesse Whiteside is the VP Finance & Accounting for Rebuilders Automotive Supply. He joined Rebuilders in 2012. Prior to Rebuilders, he worked at several prominent Rhode Island based manufacturers in key finance rolls and also served as a Controller for Honeywell. Throughout his career Jesse has focused on providing value added financial support to operations, implementing internal controls, and facilitating organizational efficiencies.

 

Jesse holds a Bachelor Of Science in Business Management and a Masters Of Business Administration in Accountancy both from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

 

Jesse resides in Portsmouth Rhode Island with his wife and three children and is very involved in local religious and youth organizations.
